New VO5 Shampoo and Conditioner range ft. Beyond Blonde shampoo and Cherish my Colour Conditioner

A couple of weeks ago I went into Boots and noticed VO5's new range of shampoos and conditioners. I was in a bit of a rush but needed a new shampoo and conditioner, and as they were on BOGOF and I had a 25% of voucher for them (from inside Boot's magazine! still available!) I decided to give them a go! I was also drawn to the blurb on the back which mentioned "Avocado oil, Apricot oil, Grape Seed oil, Jojoba oil, and of course the oh so trendy (and expensive!) Argan oil". I for one have not had the opportunity to try any oil products out yet (I really want to purchase some of the Macadamia oil products to try) and so therefore was intrigued to try this low cost product containing some of them. Of course I knew the quantity and quality would be no where near that of cult products such as Macadamia oil and Moroccan oil but you've gotta take what you can sometimes! So I decided to get the Beyond blonde shampoo ("for blonde or highlighted hair") as I have light brown hair with fine blonde highlights put through and the cherish my colour conditioner.
Anyway onto the actual bit you're interested in... the review...!
Packaging:
Nicely packaged with clear writing on the front. I particularly love the bright pink colour of the Beyond blonde shampoo!

Texture:
Pretty standard texture for both, with the conditioner not being overly thick.

Smell:
Both smell nice during application, however the scent does not really last in your hair which is a shame. They do smell slightly different but in general I would describe the scent as slightly floral, sweet and maybe also slightly coconutty, although there's not coconut in it!! (I love the L'oreal shampoo/conditioner for highlighted hair because it smells gorgeous AND it stays in your hair for at least a couple of days!)

Performance:
Pleasantly surprised with this combination. Left my hair feeling nicely nourished after, although they were by no means miracle workers, they did the job!

Price:
Around the £3.50 mark for 500ml (on offer for just £1 for 250ml in Boots at the moment!) - not exactly bank breaking stuff and you may as well give them a go for a quid!

BUT:
Yes there is a but... I must say that the shampoo does very much sting my eyes if I'm not careful and it gets anywhere near them. Now I am not one to have very sensitive eyes at all but I have experience this problem with the Tresemme 24 hour volume shampoo, despite not having any problems with any of their other types of shampoo! So I am willing to perhaps give another type of the VO5 range a go and see if I have to same problem. Will keep you updated and let me know if anyone else finds this also!
